PIM as the best source of data
Feeding a product website with product data is a highly time-consuming task and often the most underestimated component of project costs. To address this, we always assume integration of the website with the PIM system in all our implementations.
This approach sets us apart from other players in the market.
The result is complete, high-quality data presentation, short project timelines, and the ability to fully leverage the capabilities of the online medium.
Complex descriptions
Not all products have simple descriptions. The days when just the product name, a brief description, and an image were sufficient are long gone. Rich photographic material, a full technical specification, related documents, and dynamic links to accessories, for example, create a complete picture of the products on offer. A well-informed customer perceives the offer as more professional and is therefore more inclined to make a purchase.
Advanced search features
It is rare for an internet user to know the exact product code and enter it into the search bar. More often, the customer does not yet know the product name but knows the criteria it should meet.
Part of the solution is browsing a product tree, which helps find products of a specific type. However, the most effective way to search for a product is by its attributes, also known as faceted search. Using a rich set of filters allows customers to instantly find the “perfectly matching” product for their needs.
Internationalization and full multilingual support
Companies aiming to enter new markets must provide content in foreign languages. Using the PIM system as a data source allows for the creation and maintenance of an up-to-date product website in any number of languages at low cost and in a short time.
We ensure that all site content, including graphics and related documents, is fully localized in the native language of the user.
Computer, tablet, smartphone - RWD
Using Responsive Web Design (RWD) techniques automatically adjusts the appearance and layout to the size of the device window. Despite the greater effort required for creating PHP templates, we are strong advocates of this method. Additionally, since Google updated its search algorithm in April 2015 to favor responsive sites in mobile search results, migrating to RWD has become absolutely mandatory.
Example implementations
Projects involving product websites in which we participated were always part of larger implementations. The fundamental stage was always the implementation of the PIM system. Without this, automating publication in either online media (e-commerce, product websites) or traditional print media (product catalogs, price lists) would be virtually impossible.
We carry out online projects in collaboration with our business partners. In the case of product websites, they are usually responsible for preparing the graphic design. For e-commerce projects, we delegate the entire work to our partners, leaving ourselves the task of preparing content in the PIM system and later exporting it to the sales platform.
